Welcome to the Roundhill Day Nursery Team:
Emma – Nursery owner
I have been working in the Childcare industry since 2003. Whilst completing my BTEC national diploma in Early childhood studies I worked part-time at a nursery rated outstanding. This is where I really gained my passion for working with children. I then went on to university to complete my BA honours in Early years, followed by my masters level early years professional status. During this time I was working at various Nurseries in the area building my experience.
After managing nurseries for several years, I decided I would take the plunge and look for my own nursery.
In October 2015 I embarked on an exciting journey and opened Roundhill Day Nursery. I am still as passionate now about my nursery as I was on our very first day. I love meeting all of our families and children and being a part of helping the children in our care grow, gain independence and get ready for the next stage in their development.
Claire – Deputy Manager
I qualified from Kidderminster college in 2005 with a BTEC level 3 national diploma in my early years. I have over 15 years experience of working with children of ages 3 months to 8 years. During this time, I have completed team leader and playworker qualifications, alongside my yearly course updates of First aid, food hygiene, etc.
After a few years of working with all age groups, I came to realise that my passion was working with babies, and this is the area I have been with since then. Watching them learn new skills, take their first steps, beginning to talk, are just a few of the moments that make this age so special to me.
My hobbies consist of looking after my two small children and spending time as a family.
Emily – Nursery Nurse
I studied at Kidderminster College and qualified in Level 2 Childcare in 2015 and Level 3 Childcare in 2017.
I have experience working with all age groups. I am now working in the toddler room with 2-3-year-olds which I really enjoy. My favourite part of the day is music time learning the children’s different rhymes and exploring sounds using the musical instruments. My personal interests include baking.
Becky – Senior Nursery Nurse
I qualified in childcare level 3 in 2016 and began working at Roundhill Day Nursery straight from college. I currently work in the preschool room within the nursery. Helping the children develop and learn new things ready for school is something I really do enjoy.
Alice – Nursery Nurse
I qualified at busy bees nursery and gained my level 3 in 2021. I have experience working with all ages. I am now working with toddlers which are 1-2 year-olds which I really enjoy. My favourite part of the day is to see the children develop through different activities and different areas of the room. My personal interest included baking and spending time with family.
Alicia – Nursery Nurse
I studied at Heart of Worcestershire College and qualified in Level 3 Childcare in 2021. I have mainly had previous experience in both toddler and preschool rooms. At Roundhill, I currently work in the preschool room and enjoy watching the children progress, making fun activities to expand their learning and get ready for school.
My personal interests include spending time with friends and family and travelling.
Freya – Nursery Nurse
I joined the nursery in 2017 after finishing my A levels at college, upon arrival I completed my childcare apprenticeship under the supervision of Emma. Since then I have enjoyed working throughout the nursery before being based in the toddler room, my favourite part about this job is being a part of making the children happy and creating fun activities for them. Outside of Roundhill Day Nursery, I enjoy keeping active, baking, and travelling to different places.
Victoria – Nursery Nurse
I studied BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Childcare through Stourbridge College and graduated in 2014 with distinctions in all areas. I have since gone on to work with children of all ages and had the privilege of working with children with SEND. My favourite age ranges have to be Babies and Toddlers though as I love watching them learn new things such as walking and talking and watching them develop their own little personalities. In my free time, I enjoy visiting new places and being out and about with my little lady and my husband.
Imogen- Nursery Nurse
I started at the nursery straight from leaving school in 2018. Under Emma’s supervision, I completed an apprenticeship in childcare and I am now mainly working in the preschool room, but I also help out in different rooms. My favourite part of the day is when I get creative with crafts and watch the children’s faces light up when they have made something special to take home. My personal interests outside of Roundhill Day Nursery are fitness, going on holidays, also socialising with my friends & family.
